Technical difficulties are kicking my ASS this week! At least I got the page up at the regular time, right?

Looks like Dynagirl got herself between a rock and a hard place pretty quick, eh? Those mercs aren’t playing around with the shoulder fired missles!

We struggled a bit with the colors here, looking to split the difference between regular night vision and what we’ve got here which isn’t really traditional night vision. Not only would it kinda be hard to use night vision during the day time, the viewer being used is more for maginfication than night seeing. It’s always the little things, huh?

I love the look on Dynagirl’s face in the last viewfinder! I can totally picture the head merc wetting his pants!

Sorry this is late! Somehow I managed to miss turning it on at midnight! ARGH!

The look on Dynagirl’s face in panel one is genius! She’s the picture of unimpressed.

Look at all the household items and stuff Amanda’s throwing at her! She’s kinda chaotic with her powers, at least when she’s pissed off. The girl does have the ability to maintain extremely fine control, but whether she uses that control is another matter entirely. She’s sure hell on the furniture!

Ouch. That just freakin’ HURT! Looks like Amanda has some unresolved issues! And when she’s not happy, ain’t nobody happy!

We finally make our return to the Hughes estate! I really liked this page when I got the inks in, but I loved it even more in color. Lisa chose a red door for their front door, which is kinda funny for a number of reasons. I guess it’s always the little things that crack me up, the little visual jokes and such that kinda stay hidden unless you dig em out. Fun!

We also get a bit of clandestine observation here…wonder who that is?

Oh, and Amanda doesn’t look all that happy to see her childhood friend, does she?

I love this page for SO many reasons. The little old lady is probably closer to home than most people know, and that’s what cracks me up about her so much. Let’s just say she’s based on someone very near and dear to me, and she’s pretty much perfect.

The SFX in this one gave me fits for a while, because I didn’t know exactly how I wanted to do them, but I got it figured out and I think I got it pretty well right. Fun little page and it also gets our girl into hero work right quick and in a hurry!

HELL YEAH! We get some Dynagirl in action! Once again we’re rocking a little backstory and such that’ll play out later on so keep an eye out for all that.

And Isis once again! Doesn’t it look like she’s stalking that skillet of food? I think Tonya needs to be very careful or lunch is going to the cat!

So what’s up lately? Well, we got approved for Project Wonderful ads, which is cool. the more observant among you will notice I’ve tuned up the site a bit, added a couple of ads like a link to get Dynagirl #1 in print, and a link to purchase the Fallen Justice Collected Edition right from Red Handed Studios! I also changed the way the archive looks and functions, and moved some stuff around to make it look better all around. I think we’re about done with changes for a while, provided I don’t run into some cool new feature I can’t live without.

Also in the news, we’re confirmed to attend Wizard World Austin in November! Woo! So that’s two out of three conventions confirmed, and we should hear something on the UP Fair in the next couple of weeks from what I hear. Fun! At the Champion City Con we’ll be sharing table space with Brant Fowler of Gonzogoose productions and Matt Zolman who rocks the house in the new Dynagirl/EPIC crossover coming later this year! At the Wizard World Austin con we’ll have SPLASH at the table signing and doing some live coloring action, and we’re also looking to have EPIC colorist Ty Tyner show up and kick it as well! Both of those shows may also feature sneak peaks of Dynagirl colorist extraordinaire Lisa Moore as well, but keep that quiet cause she’s shy! Whew! Gonna be a blast to say the least!

And now…I’ve got lettering to do!

Isis in the house! You gotta wonder about that cat. What’s she thinking listening to them and seeing them use their powers and such? Maybe we’ll do a story from her point of view one of these days.

Speaking of powers, we get to see Tonya use her powers for the first time here! She’s a teleporter, but she’s not limited to touching which is kinda cool.

And yet again we see Harold and Lisa just killing the little things! Take a look at the lunchbox Daniel is carrying. That’s an old school metal Transformers lunch box baby! woo! What’s even cooler is that’s just organic in nature. I didn’t add anything in the script to indicate it, they just ran with it! I do love the team like you would not believe!

Daniel’s new class looks…interesting!

This one is SUCH a fun page! We get some Daniel here, expanding well beyond what we glimpsed in the first issue, and is it just me or is he showing off a bit of his father’s temper? Tonya seems to have a very good grip on the kid though, don’t you think? I think my favorite moment is in panel 3 when he’s stomping in fury. Cracks me the hell up.

The room behind Daniel in panel one is just awesome. I loved the car bed when I first saw that, in addition to all the little boy stuff laying around. Daniel enjoys a lot of sports as you can see! When Lisa got hold of it she totally rocked it with the posters showing off Daniel’s widely diverse taste in various stuff, going from the more classic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Star Wars, and Spiderman, and then he’s rocking the more modern Transformers and Harry Potter! You gotta love a comic geek in the making!

We’ve also got a couple of neat little features in the works, such as a lost issue! That’s right Harold will be writing, drawing, and inking this issue with Lisa on colors and me doing the letters! It’ll detail a bit of Dynagirl behind the scenes that we weren’t able to see throguh the course of this arc, and show you some really fun stuff about her as she’s coming out of her 5 year retirement. Should be a blast!

What else what else…Lisa Moore is all over the place lately! She’s doing a lot of other work besides her fantastic turn on Dynagirl, and you should check her stuff out! Right now she’s also the series colorist on Spy6Teen which is not only well colored but an excellent series all around! We’ve got lots of ties back to that team around RHS, and you never know when something BIG might come down the pipeline and really shake things up! So check that out for sure! Lisa’s also put what I hear are some killer colors over a Penny Dreadful Press art print by Rudy Vasquez that’ll be available at Champion City Con! I’ll definitely be picking that one up I can tell you that much! Rudy’s a hell of a talent and he produced a Dynagirl print for us WAY back in the days before Red Handed Studios was even created! Seeing him team up with Lisa like this…it’s great all around. Here’s a look at that Dynagirl print he did up…(with colors by Fallen Justice colorist Ross Hughes!)

You can see why we liked it so much!
