DG1-page-03

And now we get to some real action! I’ve waited tables and had many friends both male and female who have done so as well, and every single girl I know who has been a waitress has endured some form of sexual harassment by a customer at some point in her career. So this is for all the waitresses out there who have to put up with jerks like this guy. I can tell you one thing for sure, his golf handicap just went straight to hell!

And see what I mean about the waitresses in the back? They only get funnier from here. I like character driven work the most both as a reader and a writer, and I’ve always felt that just because someone won’t be a major part of the story doesn’t mean they can’t be interesting and memorable. In fact some of my favorite characters have very small parts in the various movies and books I enjoy. I guess it stands to reason that you’ll find characters like this throughout my work, and especially within the pages of Dynagirl.

And check out the background work Lisa put into this page! Once again a phenominal job. Also of note here are the barrettes in Kerri’s hair. Some sort of little toothy animal creature. Freakin hilarious. Harold cracks me up.

L to the O to the L! Take that.. ass-grabber. Been there.

Oh, and the glasses make me laugh, as I have reached that sad age where I need them to read, but have to sit them on my nose like this so I don’t have to keep putting them on. I feel you, dg. Makes me look like a crazy librarian …before my time.

    Loving this so far!

I’m loving Lisa’s colors the more I look at them. So understated, the way comic colors used to be. Something quite vintage about the colors that I really dig!

once or twice a week is once or twice a week too much. :P

I’m glad this comic has started and I’m looking forward to more!
