Real name: Ronald Hayes Jr.
Powers: Speedster with as yet unmeasured upper limit to his abilities. His powers generally manifest in his running, but he can also move quickly enough to make his local environment seem to stop in time, and he has at least some ability to vibrate his molecules at a high rate of speed.
General description: African American, 16 years old, 5’ 9” tall, with a ready smile and bright personality.
History: Ronny, as his mother calls him, was born without a father in his life. While his mother was pregnant his father, the original Zig Zag, was brutally murdered by Justice Theta in his attempted purge of all major villains on Earth. The fact that the elder Hayes had reformed seemed to matter little to the rampaging former hero, who showed him no mercy.
After those tragic events Ronny’s mother moved the family back to her family farm, where she raised her son to be kind, courteous, and honorable. Little is known about Ronny’s childhood years until he turned up in a flash of lightning and energy in downtown Dallas, Texas as a sixteen year old, searching desperately for Dynagirl. This version of Ronny had come from the future and was sent back in time to avert certain disaster, but in order to do so he had to find and warn Dynagirl. Just when he felt his mission was hopeless, he remembered that in the present time his mother was still alive. Returning to his boyhood home in Liberal, Kansas, Ronny found not only his mother, but his younger self as well.
Now, having reunited with his mother and donned his father’s costume, Ronny fights alongside Dynagirl and the rest of her team as the new Zig Zag.
