Ok, after several false starts and more than one changed mind as to what I even wanted to do with this mess, I finally settled on an out with the old and in with the new approach. The basic fact of it ended up being I wasn’t about to recover everything, it was long gone. So with that in mind, and the prospect of redoing the whole thing one way or the other, I opted to take a different approach. Webcomic is out, and we’re going with a framework called Comic Easel. Easel is what Comicpress has become, in case you’re wondering. I’ve tried it on for size, and I like it for the most part. It has some things to get used to for sure, and some features I’m still trying to mull my way through, but for the most part, I’m digging it. It seems faster at least, so that’s a big thing right there.

So where does that leave us? With a lot of work to do! But, with some good stuff already completed at least. The casual observer will notice that I’ve got the entire 8th issue up, in order, and the navigation seems to be in good working order. I’m playing with the look of the site, goofing with the widgets and such that you see, and getting the ads back in place. None of which was what caused the meltdown by the way, so I don’t expect any further problems on that front. If it happens, I have a viable back up this time. :)

So anyway, this week’s page is up, and next week’s should post on time all things being equal. We’ll try to keep this site outage mess to a severe minimum from now on. Thanks for your patience!
